Hello everyone! It has been awhile since my last post for Splinterlands. I have been busy doing side hustles for wedding souvenirs and the like. And I am feeling under the weather almost everyday during my first trimester of pregnancy.

While taking a break from my work and side hustle, I figured to draw something that is more relaxing. And that is when I remembered my childhood days where I played paper dolls.

My card reference is Talia Firestorm. I imagined her growing up to a teenager and became a charming but fierce beautiful woman.

Talia Firestorm Lore

Talia is the older of the two daughters of celebrity summoner couple Aggroedius Lightbringer (Life Splinter) and Lyanna Natura (Earth Splinter). About a decade ago, the two discovered an abandoned Dragon egg while traveling in Draykh-Nahka. They incubated and hatched the egg, raising the young Flame Dragon Talia as their own and training her as a summoner.

These are the steps that I did to create my fan art.

First, I drew the rough sketch using blue ink for me to easily identify each line. When I am happy to what the pose of the character would be, I drew the outline on another layer.

I then added her tail and drew a thicker line outside the line art so that it will looks like a sticker or will look more like a paper doll.

I then added more details like the reptile like thing on her neck, the extended part of her gloves, the bandage on her feet and the side pocket on her shorts. After that, I applied the base color.

I then drew her eyes and apply shadows on her hair and face.

I continued applying shadow on the other part her and then a added the original image of Talia Firestorm from Splinterlands.

I then merged all the layers and duplicated the outcome. I reduce the opacity of the duplicate layer and enlarge the image to be used as the background. And lastly I added a slightly green back ground same with her skin.

I placed them side-by-side to see the difference between the child Talia and the teenager Talia.

I hope you enjoyed this post and I am hoping to submit more entries in Splinterlands' succeeding Art Contest. Thank you! :)
