In this guide, you'll discover some Fire Splinter combos that you can assemble with the starter cards (free) and also how to level up your game.
For some reason, Fire is the one splinter that I started using from day one. I don't really know why but that's how I began my Splinterlands journey.

Now, as I mentioned, you can assemble this combo with starter cards only, which are free.
However, as you'll see, I'll also include a couple of things you can do to level up your game to help you smash your way through Bronze III and Bronze II on the way to Bronze I.
Lasly, at the end of this post you'll find some combo examples you can use right now.
The Summoner: Pyre or Yodin Zaku
When it comes to battling, I love speed. That's why the Pyre is probably my favorite, but not always the perfect choice.
I like Pyre for 2 reasons:
- Low Mana Cap: This fella only costs only 3, and
- Speed: This determines the order in which characters attack. It also makes the character (the monster) harder to hit with Melee or Ranged attacks
NOTE: In some cases, the Malric Inferno Summoner would be a better choice, because it gives all friendly monsters +1 Melee Attack. This is absolutely a sound tactic, but I generally prefer high speed, that's why I use the Pyre as often as I can.
As for the Yodin Zaku:
- This has high Mana Cap (7): Of course, you'll use it only on 20+ mana cap battles
- It gives friendly monsters +1 Ranged Attack, Health, and Blast ability. There's nothing sexier than Blast in my opinion.
NOTE: When you use the Yodin Zaku, all monsters will have the Blast ability as I said, so you won't need the Fire Elemental (see further down on this guide).
Which one you use is really up to you and based on how much Mana Cap you have.
The Frontline Tank: Cerberus and/or Living Lava
In low Mana Cap battles, you'll use the Cerberus. This guy will automatically heal itself as it gets hit on each round. Also, Cerberus is fast and kind of powerful, with 3 Speed and 2 Melee Attack (good on position one).
In higher Mana Cap battles, you're gonna go for the Living Lava, which is a monster of a fighter for being just a free Starter Card. This guy has Melee, Speed (only 1), Shield, and quite a bit of Health (6). Awesome!
The Damagers: My 3-4 Favorites
Depending on the Mana Cap, you'll want to have in your team these 4 guys:
- Serpentine Spy, with its Opportunity ability, will take care of the enemy monsters with the lowest health.
- Kobold Miner, with its Sneak ability, will attack the last Monster on the enemy Team instead of the first Monster
- Fire beetle, with its Snipe ability, will target the enemy Monsters with Ranged, Magic, or no attack that are not in the first position.
- Fire Elemental, with its Blast ability, will deal 2 damage to the enemy Tank and 1 extra damage to the 2nd Monster. This is a great addition to your deck.
Note: What I like to do here is getting myself Level 2 (or higher) of the Serpentine Spy, Kobold Miner and Fire Beetle. Of course, you'll need a Pyre Level 2 as well to summon Level 2 monsters. It'll cost you more, but it'll get you farther through Bronze.
The Weakener: Goblin Shaman
The Goblin Shaman is something I like to have because of its powerful Weaken ability. This ability will reduce all enemy monsters Health by a factor of -1 (only up until he stays alive).
Also, let's not forget that he has quite a good amount of health (4) and it's pretty cheap with only 3 Mana Cap. This guy goes very well with the Serpentine Spy and the Kobold Miner.
Team Formations: Some Examples
Low Mana (12-15) - Level 1 (Starter Cards)
- Pyre + Cerberus + Serpentine Spy + Kobold Miner + Goblin Shaman
High Mana (21+) - Level 1 (Starter Cards)
- Pyre + Living Lava + Cerberus (optional) + Goblin Shaman + Serpentine Spy + Fire Elemental + Fire Beetle
Low Mana (12-15) - Level 2+
- Pyre + Cerberus + Serpentine Spy (Lv2) + Kobold Miner (Lv2) + Goblin Shaman
High Mana (21+) - Level 2+
- Yodin Zaku: Living Lava + Cerberus (optional) + Goblin Shaman + Serpentine Spy (Lv2) + Kobold Miner (Lv2) + Fire Elemental + Fire Beetle (Lv2)
These ☝ are just some examples that worked for me. They may or may not work for you.

I did start playing Fire when I first begun playing splinterlands too!
Yodin Zaku is extremely powerful in bronze and silver even at level 1, it's like a free ticket to the top leaderboard but so expensive to rent.
Oh yes, powerful and very expensive.
And yet, I have to be honest with you, Magic can still beat me even with Yodin Zaku as the summoner. But yes, it's a beast. Love the guy.
Truth to be told, This Magic Meta is making playing in bronze less fun
Oh yes, you can say that out loud my friend!
