In Splinterlands 1 + 1 + 1 + 1 = 3

Why are the cards always 1 short?

I used 2 more vouchers and bought 2 more Chaos Legion packs. And, luck be a lady, I opened those 2 packs and got another Legendary card. Upping my Legendary card count to 4.

Any card that has an attack and cost 0 to play is good with me. It is going for under $13 right now on the market, so not a barn stormer.

I also got a few more rare cards and the rest were regular cards. I noticed that I had enough cards to make a level change, so I combined 4 cards together to level up.

But, when I combined the 4 cards, I only see 3/4. I have seen this happen before and I thought maybe it was a glitch. So, I did another set of 3 cards.

With 3 Supply Runner's checked, you would assume that combining them together would give you 3/4 for the Next Level.

But, no....

I know this is a nitpick and this probably has always been the case with Splinterlands, but if you say you need 4 cards to go to the next level, on the 4th card, you should be at the next level.

In reality, you need 5 cards to go to the next level, the 4 cards for the current level and the 5th card for the next level. I don't know what the solution is, but the way it reads now is annoying and flawed. However, I can see how the other way could be confusing. You have the 1 card, you need 4 more, not 1/5. You have 5 cards and need 9 more, not 5/14?

I'll let someone else figure it out.
