We have a couple of interesting things happening during this end of season. Timing for it is interesting so let's see what happened in the last 24 to 48 hours.

End of Season Issues

When the counter for EOS finished, some were able to claim as per usual with no issues happening. A little while after the claim got ready though, we started seeing a lot of reports about people getting errors for their claims. We usually just chalk it up to do a quick refresh, or a log out and back in type of thing but it seemed like this time it was not getting things done.

There was a lot of back and forth in discord, too. SPL team asked to send tickets while waiting for things to get fixed. In the meantime, IProto in discord came up with the solution above. Here it is below in text format:

For anyone getting upset about no season rewards, if you don't want to wait for a proper fix from Splinterlands you can go into the browser console while on the main Splinterlands page and type this and hit enter:
SM.ClaimRewards("league_season", {"season":113})

Then just go to the reward details and hit show last season rewards

I thought it'd be helpful to have this posted so that we can have a reference in case we run into any sort of similar issue in the future. What would potentially need to change is the season number but should be a more easy fix in the future. Please be informed and don't think about raging and throwing your pc or device out the window if you see the same error next time!

Land Discussions

Our friends over at @thepeoplesguild recently had a conversation with @hardpoint about land and what got people talking was about land surfing.

Below is an explanation by @davemccoy.

This can potentially open up doors for those who are late to the party down the road and aren't able to secure their own land earlier. Regardless, it created a lot of interesting points for land. Orgs or guilds could be interested to have this as well as big region owners. There are always details that aren't yet fleshed out but it's an interesting idea nonetheless.

Overall these 2 main points have been discussed a lot in the past couple of days and created a lot of buzz coinciding with the end of season.
