So we can all admit it, we definitely play favorites. With our friends, with our kids, and with our splinters (ok, maybe not the kids thing). But you certainly have a go to splinter, especially when you are just starting out. It may be because of a specific Monster, or Summoner, or just because you like the art. More often then not it is because you have to start somewhere. For me it was Water - I liked the magic true damage and the +1 magic from the Summoner helped reinforce that.
Aye, but here's the rub.
If you want to rank up for end of season rewards AND you want to collect cards every day in your Daily Quests - both in a pursuit of building your deck and broadening your versatility, then you are going to have to get some diversification.
Now yes you can rent some powerful cards, and just grind your way to the top but keep in mind two issues...

So as always a little practical advice...
- Focus on building up a splinter at a time. Rent the balance if you want diversity.
- Complete Daily Quests and eke out the highest rank you can in a season. Those reward cards will come in handy.
- Have FUN!!! Splinterlands is awesome. A little patience in moving up the learning curve is well rewarded in the long run.
As always let me know your thoughts and Play On!
