How you play it? You try to create the most optimal 7-card deck, using the available cards, and fight against opponents. More wins will bring more Glint, which can be used at the shop for cards, potions or even titles!
What's Glint? The new currency for ranked play, which can be used in the shop to buy all kind of stuff. You earn Glint daily depending on the wins, and then a big bunch at the end of the season... based on the overall performance!
The initial plan was to raise 25,000 Glint and then get one Legendary drop every one or two seasons! It went really well this season as I reached my new All-Time High. Champion III for the first time and a whole bunch of Glint earned so far. Nearly 25k in a season... Happy days!
Let's celebrate six years of Splinterlands with an amazing victory! It was some kind of mirror image battle and my team selection was smarter!
Only 28 mana for team selection and a trio of battle rules that made it worst. Only ranged monsters due to Going The Distance, Blood and Sunder for Corrosive Ward given to all units and the deadly Earthquake.
Lots of flying ranged units would have been ideal but I had only one. I went for as many Close Range monsters as possible, and cheap ones for more attacks. What's better?

Great Porcupine: Ranged with Close Range
Torch Myrmidon: Ranged with Close Range
Drybone Bowdog: Ranged with Scattershot and Ambush
Blackmoor Trickster: Ranged with Close Range
Satha Toledo: Ranged with Heal
Flame Mephit: Ranged with Flying
The tactic was to use the Close Range units in the first positions so they attack from the start. The other low mana units will shoot quick and often form the back!
My opponent used the Porcupine, the Torch Myrmidon and Satha Toledo but went for one expensive card... Rush Towsend. Could that 4 ranged attack be more efficient than the 3 units I got at the same price?
They got 4 ranged damage, 4 health and one Ambush attack ... while I've got 3 damage and 6 health from three units.
Laughing at this but probably Rush Towsend was a top choice, as he took down the Great Porcupine with his Ambush and destroyed the Myrmidon's armor.
The Myrmidons where facing each other, in an equally important duel. Then the quake hit the battle field...
The Drybone Bowdog was the only victim, but all others went down to critical health.
The same Rush Towsend went for the kill, and my Myrmidon was out! Satha healed the Trickster in vain, while the other Satha healed the Myrmidon more efficiently.
Another earthquake and the aftermath was more catastrophic... for my enemies. Thee of them went under the shifting land.. never to be seen again. Satha v Satha ... but neither could attack! The Flame Mephit could make the difference... if the attacks will land the target. See the full battle here!
