Weekly report of my Splinterlands assets - is it too late to enter?

Splinterlands has taken off, that is for sure. In my last post I wrote about how the different assets in my Splinterlands portfolio (different decks, alpha packs, orbs, totems and lands) have done over the last 6 months. As you can imagine, the best time to get into the game was around 6 months ago (or even way earlier), but I did want to follow up my report with a weekly check up on how all my assets are doing and if one of them might be ahead and why.

In my last post the numbers were not lying, every Splinterlands asset has by far outperformed BTC and actual gold (both of these have not really moved over the last 6 months). ORBS came in last in terms of USD growth over the last 6 months, just missing the 10x multiplier. Yes, you are reading this right, ORBS were the worst performing asset out of all my assets and they still 10xed, the best performing asset was TOTEMS, which 40xed over the course of 6 months. All of the other assets are in somewhere in between that. Remember, I am talking about multipliers, not percentages that the assets went up. Writing this all down, it sounds so surreal, but it is so so real.

Now, I want to come to the point of this blog post, the goal for me was to figure out if it is too late to enter the game, or to buy any assets in Splinterlands and see where all of this is going. Well, here are the numbers. This time I had to do percentages, unfortunately no multipliers over the span of a week, one asset came close though...

Conclusions:

1. First and obvious conclusion is, no it is not too late to enter Splinterlands and buy assets. ALL of the assets rose in price, funnily TOTEMS were the worst performing asset this time, rising 'only' 6,69%.

2. The best performing asset was ORBS, rising a staggering 70% in one week. If you look at my last post this might not come as a surprise, since they were the least performing asset over the past 6 months.

3. LANDS was the second worst performing asset. No surprise there, since plots can not be revealed yet and the expansion is not out. I do see the value grow each day and would not be surprised we will see 1k USD plots quite soon.

4. TOTEMS have a very low liquidity, so it is a bit hard to estimate their real value. @yabapmatt has said many times that these TOTEMS will play an important part in the land expansion and are very scarce, so they might not have moved much in price in a week and probably will not move a lot in the coming months, but they could be extremely valuable when the lands expansion will be live.

5. Out of my different decks, the account with mostly Alphas has risen the most, around 51%, being closely followed by my single cards account, 49%. The other decks lagged a bit.

6. Overall average growth was 38%. 38%, so it not too late. Definitely not.

I will keep writing this report weekly to see if this rise will continue. At the moment, I do not see many reasons why it should not continue to rise, I don't know if it will be at the same speed, but every day there are more and more players joining and there are no packs or lands that can be bought ingame. My guess is that it will only go up till Chaos Legion comes out.
