Drake of Arnak (Level 1)
Splinter | Dragon |
---|---|
Mana cost | 4 |
Edition | Untamed |
Ability | +1 Armor |
Rarity | Rare |
It is a summoner for the dragon team +1 armor was a very useful addition before Chaos Legion , now it is a more situational card than earlier. But against non magic damage armor is still a decisive factor.
It is a rare untamed card. I do own a copy of it so I do not have to rent it. As you can see in the table below it is not a cheap card as a regural foil nor as a gold foil. There are a lot of available copies at the moment. It is because there are better Dragon summoners to level them up.
Here comes the battle:
I was in silver 3 at the time of the battle. As you can see I had an interesting ruleset.
Rules:
Battle modifiers | Mana cap | Available splinters |
---|---|---|
Weak Magic | 16 | Water |
- | - | Earth |
- | - | Lfe |
- | - | Death |
- | - | Dragon |
So what did I chose to do?
For Summoner: Drake of Arnak it will increase the armor of my monsters by 1. At low mana matches Arnak combined with a Thorny card can be a nice combo.
Monsters:
- Cursed Windeku best (at least I think) widely available tank for Death splinter thanks to it's Thorns ability, and high health.
- Death Elemental it is magic damage and decent speed for low mana Sniper ability is a bonus.
- Life Sapper it is magic damage as well and a nice Life Leech ability I really like this ability, it can be surprisingly good in a long battle, given you don't meet with Void.

Did my strategy work?
Yes, I won the battle. It was a really really close one. My enemy brought Thorns and Void both could be a considered as a counter to my team. But Life Leech and my Thorns ability was key to the victory.
What will I try differently next time?
Given this ruleset I would not change my lineup. I know that it was a risky tactic, but sometimes you have to risk to win.
Thanks for the reading, I hope you enjoyed, see you on the battlefield!
