European Wrestling Championship greekoromen style 130 kilo Roda Kayaalp defeated Russian opponent Vitalii Shchur 2-1 and reached the championship.
Riza Kayaalp won the gold medal by defeating the Russian Vitalii Shchur in the 130 kg weight-loss ceremony of the European Wrestling Championship, and set Hamza Yerlikaya's 8 European championship record.
On the second day of the championship held at Ali Aliyev Sports Hall in Kaspiysk, Dagestan Autonomous Republic of Russia, the national wrestler Riza came face to face with Russian Vitalii Shchur in greekoromen style 130 kilo final. The national wrestler went on to compete in the final for the ninth time in European championships. Rıza Kayaalp, who managed to defeat the Russian opponent 3-1 last year despite being down 1-0, won 7th place in total, 8th European championship in total and Hamza Yerlikaya, who has the title of "Century Wrestler", set a record. The 130 kilograms of bronze medals for which Rıza won the gold medal were the Romanian Alin Alex Ciurariu and the Georgian Iakobi Kajaia.
BRONZE MEDAL FROM EKREM ÖZTÜRK
Ekrem Öztürk, who struggled with 55 kilograms of greekoroman style in the championship, won a bronze medal. Ekrem Öztürk, the national wrestler in the competition at Ali Aliyev Sports Hall, was against Bulgarian Nedyalko Petrov for the bronze medal. Ekrem Öztürk, 4-0 despite falling back yet 2 minutes before Petrov'in 12-4 technical superiority and extended to the bronze medal.

On October 10, 1989, the worker came to the world as the 6th child of the family in Kavurgali village of Yozgat. After primary school education in 2000, Yozgat Wrestling Training Center started to wrestle with Grekoromen Stilde under the supervision of Aydin Dal, Mustafa Doğan and Mustafa Başer. He won his first international medal in the Stars category in 2005, defeating all competitors in Albania, Tirana and 100 kyr in the Stars category as European Champion. In the same year, he moved to the Ankara Metropolitan Municipality's ASKİ Sports Club, where Mehmet Akif Pirim's Olympic Champion Mehmet Akif Pirim was stepping up his steps both in the field of sport and education. After graduating in 2006, Kayaalp graduated from Aksaray University School of Physical Education and Sports.![]
