Hey guys, so I was cleaning out some old boxs of crap I had sitting around the house when I came across this old pack of cards. Now before I get started il let you know a little bit about me, I have never been into basketball or basketball cards, I dont know where this pack came from and my knowledge of the sport goes about as far as Michael Jordan and Shaquille O'Neal. I have collected plenty of cards in my day but never these. Im assuming I picked them up somewhere randomly over the past 7 years while collecting other cards.
Anyway here it is a pack of Topps 1994-95 series 1 NBA basketball cards. After a short ebay search (thought I better check the value before doing this just in case) I decided id open them and share with the steemit community.
The players I pulled are Doc Rivers x 2, Todd Day, Christian Laettner, Anfernee Hardaway, Mike Brown, Terry Dehere and draft pick Jason Kidd. I also scored 2 "from the roof" cards Kendall Gill and Kenny Gattison and 2 all star cards Derick Coleman and Danny Manning.
Wouldn't have a clue who many of them are so if you basketball fans know much about any of these players share below in the comments.
Regardless of the fact that these were basketball cards I still loved opening them, the smell of the old cards taking to the air for the first time was amazing.
What old boosters have you guys recently opened? Did you find any jewels?

Wow this was a throwback! This was all I got my brother for Christmas and birthdays. Well, baseball cards anyway. Some of them used to have gum in them and the outsides of them were orange and waxy! Ahhh sensory overload! Thanks for sharing!
Haha omg thats so funny that you said that I found 3 of these wax packed cards while cleaning as well! Batman, alf and ninja turtles, maybe il open them at some point too.

I have a box full of different packs of these. The smurfs pack ripped open so I ate the gum. I don't recommend it.

OMG the Ninja Turtles one! We had that one. Gah, I remember what they felt like. This is so crazy! Aw, happier, simpler times!
I grew up collecting basketball cards as a kid. Brings back some good memories.
You might want to look up the value of that draft pick Jason Kidd card. He’s one of the best point guards in NBA history.

Hardaway is very collectabel, one of the best. And you have Doc rivers twice, also a classic, he is the coach of LA Clippers, Kidd was rookie of the year shared with the best player ever Grant Hill. Cristian Leattner won the NCAA with Duke, but was only avg in the NBA. I heard of Kendal Gil and Danny Manning but they were avg players as well. The value is Doc, Hardaway and Kidd.
