Manager Arsene Wenger revealed that Arsenal have indeed held negotiations regarding the chances of selling a number of players in the transfer window this summer, although confirmed not to release some of them.
A number of Arsenal players are expected to be sold in the transfer window this summer. Even some of their stars have entered the last 12 months in their current contract with the club, while others are judged as excessive at Emirates Stadium.
Some of them are already often associated with the exit of the Gunners, such as Alexis Sanchez, Mesut Ozil, Kieran Gibbs, Nacho Monreal, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, Mathieu Debuchy, Calum Chambers, Olivier Giroud, Jack Wilshere, and Luacas Perez.
Arsene Wenger himself has confirmed that some of their players will not be sold, with his tenacity defending Sanchez, Ozil, and Oxlade-Chamberlain.
However, some other players may be allowed to leave the club and at the closing of the Arsenal tour in China, the manager admits that there has been negotiations held to follow up on the matter.
"There is negotiation, yes indeed. There's contact, but we're not that close, "he replied when asked if he would release some players like Gibbs.
Wenger insists that the Gunners are in a strong position when it comes to any negotiation and retain the players they want.
"We are in a strong financial situation. So we want to keep our best players. You can see that there is competition everywhere to get top players, "he added.
Wenger is in the midst of maintaining some of his stars, with a number of elite clubs that are often associated with them, with Sanchez being the most attention-grabbing.
