[WRC]: Review of the Rally Mexico 2018.

in #sports7 years ago

Hello! After two snow-covered European stages, the Rally Championship travels to another part of the world, namely to Mexico, Guanajuato. Here the pilots encountered high temperatures, small gravel and frequent changes in altitude.

Also, the third stage of the World Rally Championship was marked by the return to the construction of the legend of the WRC, the nine-time champion Sebastian Loeb. The 44-year-old Frenchman did not compete in the rally from May 2013 and on Friday races he gave an excellent result, which only for a few seconds was worse than the leading Dani Sordo. According to the results of the morning arrivals, Sebastian broke into the leaders, but not for long. Many pilots encountered problems on the roads of Guanajato, but Sebastian Ogier, the winner of the Monte Carlo rally, managed to avoid them and after four consecutive victories in the mountains of Leon, he seized the lead from Sebastien Loeb. The tire puncture did not allow the Frenchman to fight for the victory, his team-mate Citroen Chris Meeke made a mistake on the penultimate site and flipped out of the track. It cost him the second place, as a result the Englishman became the third. Spaniard Dani Sordo from the team Hyundai became the second, and his team-mate Andreas Mikkelsen fourth, closed the top-five of Sebastian Loeb.

In the overall standings, Sebastien Ogier regained the lead and with 56 points ahead of the four points of Thierry Neuville, in third place with 35 points goes Andreas Mikkelsen.

In WRC2, the best result of three days was the Swedish driver from the team Skoda, Pontus Tidemand, his advantage over the incoming second Gus Greensmith was 6 minutes and 44 seconds.

Well, now a small selection of the most interesting moments of the past rally weekend.

Enjoy!

Hi! I rather relate to Eastern Europe, here the weather changes every day and the type of suitable clothing changes several times during the day. In the European countries, I have never been, but I see that the weather there is also unstable lately.
