The ex-Gunners midfielder, Parlour has revealed that Mesut Ozil, a World Cup winner is no longer in the scheme of things at Emirates Stadium. Parlour feels that Ozil's time at Arsenal has expired since he's no longer relevant in the system of Unai Emery who now favours the younger talents.
Arsene Wenger had brought in Ozil from Real Madrid when he was the boss there, but his relationship with Emery is gone sour with him looking up to young talents .
The former Gunners midfielder told talkSPORT: “I have been really impressed by the youngsters coming through, from Arsenal’s point of view.
Ozil’s not even in the squad now. I think that’s probably the end of his career at Arsenal. Unai Emery has lots of options now, especially with saka doing exploits at Arsenal.
Saka has great potentials and yes Emery's eyes are on the young lad.
The fact is that they have got youngsters there that deserve an opportunity, probably more than Ozil at the moment. He should make way for them.
I couldn't agree with you more. Let the young be given a chance to prove that they can equally be as good or even better given equal opportunities.
I can see that Ozil is being edged towards the exits because of the emergence of those better suited to a new philosophy at Emirates Stadium. Emery has gone the way of Frank Lampard - catch them young.
