Fitness: 24th January 2024 + A Did You Know Fitness Question

Good Morning

An early morning run followed by gym makes it two days in succession. I pleasantly surprised myself, especially when I had to drop my daughter off at school, also. So, run, school dropped, and then gym, and that’s how I got all in a day’s work. Or should I say morning’s work? 😊

The weather is turning really cold over here in Mumbai and it was 14 degrees Celsius yesterday. That’s really cold for a city close to the Tropics where the average temperature is in the high twenties. But the fact is, this is how I love my morning regime and weather to be.

Now for some details. What did my morning schedule look like?

Once I woke up my daughter I went for a quick run. I did a two-kilometer run because that’s what the time permitted. I returned picked her up, and dropped her off at school. Then I went straight to the gym. Today I had to focus on my biceps.

To start, I did some warmups with pushups and suryanamaskar. Thereafter, it was totally focused on my biceps. It included barbells, dumbbells, machine presses, curls, and hammers. I did a total of fourteen sets with ten to twenty reps each. That was fun, and to conclude I did three sets focused on my forearms. And that was a wrap.

I reached home and did a few sessions of Ho’oponopono. Here is my write-up on Ho’oponopono for those interested in knowing more.

Have fun reading and practicing.

Anyway, that's it from me for now. I will see you all tomorrow.

Namaste.

Did You Know?

Okay, this is one of the unexpected records, but it is interesting nonetheless. The fun part is not many of you would know about it. Did you know there is a record for going up a flight of stairs with a person on your head? Yeah, there is.

Giang Quoc Nghiep and Giang Quoc Co, both brothers, hold the record. The brother went up 100 stairs while balancing the other on his head. The record was created on 23rd December 2021. The Vietnam nationals went up 100 stairs in just 53.6 seconds.

Have a look at the video here:

The question is - can we go up 100 stairs in 53.6 seconds? Forget about the load on the head.
