In The Beginning My Spray Paint Art Sucked!!

Yup!! Totally sucked!! When I first seen this style of painting done in Las Vegas I was amazed at the speed and quality these artists could do.

I said to my wife as we watched these artists paint "I'm going to try this when we get home" She just said okay.

So I did my research online and learned as much as I could from watching videos etc.

Then I headed out to my hardware store to buy some spray paint. And then off to the dollar store to buy some poster board paper to paint on. And picked up a few other supplies to do the paintings.

I was pumped! Let's get painting! Wow! After a few attempts I was struggling to paint something that looked decent! I was getting frustrated. Really frustrated! This was HARD!!

The painters in Vegas made it look so easy. I eventually got the hang of it and with each painting it got easier. Anyways here's a progression of my spray paintings from the beginning.

Here's one of the first spray paintings I did. It's a space themed painting.

I painted space themed pieces in the beginning because it was a good way to learn the different techniques.

I eventually moved on to adding animals etc. into the space themes.

And then what I really liked to create was mostly nature spray paintings.

Again I will start with what I think was my worst paintings to something a little better.

If your curious about the type of paint I like to use I prefer painters touch rustoleum brand. This I find works the best for me. I have tried krylon and others but didn't like them as much.

I could post hundreds of more paintings but I'll save some of those for future posts when I go into details on how the painting process works.:)
