RE: Just regular people

I wish enough Russian citizens could see through the propaganda to wake up and revolt against Putin. Putin understands his country's history enough to know now that he's begun he can't lose this war or he'll be ousted from power.

I still believe this won't end well for Russia, the countries they're forming alliances with seem strong on the surface but all of them are very vulnerable if the supply chain breaks down and this could happen soon. For the sake of the people of Ukraine and all of humanity, I wish the carnage would end sooner rather than later.

You all are in my thoughts every day.

This would be the best solution for us. For everyone. But people in Russia have been living under propaganda for so long that I have no idea what should happen that they woke up. They believe Putin more than their sisters, brothers and children that lives in Ukraine. Perhaps a change in perception of reality requires a generational change.

Yesterday, our Minister of Defense, said that it's possible to end the war this year. It was probably the best statement I've heard in the news in months.

Thank you for your comment and support!

That is so true, it's difficult when the state-run media is bombarding them with propaganda 24/7. The younger generations are always the ones that wake up first. I still have hope they will but I hope it happens soon. There needs to be a movement that starts that the Russian youth can rally around. I assume the soldiers coming back are sharing horror stories with friends/families privately. Even many of them have admitted the war isn't what they were told or what they signed up for.

This is what we're hearing here in America that Putin is looking for a way to "save face" and end the war with a "win". That "win" might be a small amount of Ukrainian territory that they can claim as their own.

You're welcome. Thanks for reporting to us what's going on. You and your people are an inspiration to the world.

I agree with you about youth that wake up first. They are our hope, in both nations. 3 months ago I hoped so much that something will happens inside of Russia, I was hoping for mass dissatisfaction with the number of deaths and with that they really do in Ukraine. I was hoping for a discontent about worsen of life due to sanctions. but nothing happened. In recent years there have been several large movements, mass protests in Russia. I really hoped that positive changes would finally happen and they would get rid of this monster. But they were failures. Maybe they are too terrified.. I remember how it was in the USSR.

Is there a way to save Putin's face? I don't know. His people are zombified by propaganda but not completely stupid. Besides, and this is even worse, saving his face and any other deals does not guarantee he will not attack in the future. On the contrary, given his ambition and the cult he had created, it would mean the period they would get to prepare for the next attack.

Appreciate your comments. It's always a point of view of a real person outside and a chance to see "yourself" through the eyes of other people.

It seems the only path to peace is one without Putin. Thank you for telling your story! You have a lot of support in this part of the world.
