WO-OWL #1 CHALLENGE : THE CULT OF OWLS

Recently #Steem-cartoon have gotten themselves a new mascot ( this lovely creature) :

Then shortly after that, @perennial created a challenge. We have to create an artwork with the owl logo incorporated in it. AND THE THEME IS FANTASY!!!!

This contest is perfect for me. It combines 2 of my favorite elements. Owls and fantasy (enough said). I am IN!!

My first idea for this contest was I want to make a cult because owls and what better way to show the cultness than by wearing a mask. Better yet, an owl mask. Something masquerade . In my head it was gonna be beautiful, mysterious, elegant......Than @hanbun happend.

We had the same idea. At least concept wise.

If we had the same idea, chances are other people might have the same idea. So that Idea was scraped. I went back to good old fashion mind mapping and began brain storming again. The mask idea was scraped but I still want my owl cult.

And Thus a rough sketch was made ( Owlette was born).

Next is digital inking.

Where I say lets play with the texture. I went for a more scratchy(?) look.

Like always, the challenging part for me would always be the color.

I wanted to use the logo's color palette. Which consist of bright colors....that on a logo would look great but on a character..... is a challenge.

AAAaaaannnnddd this is my first time making something that hopefully looks like it is glowing. What do you guys think? All constructive comments are welcome~
