RE: The Ultimate Guide for making money on the STEEM blockchain.

in #steem5 years ago

I love it. Haha. Pretty much summed it all up. Last year I did a post where I tackled part of Number 5.

As a redfish who doesn't want to stake or invest in Steem the usual choice to earn here would be to sweet talk or suck up to the big fishes. 😂

Unless yeah if you post videos you can earn a lot more than if you just write articles.

Also, if you're not part of a community and are not "friends" or followed by curators then good luck on getting curated, Curied or OCDd.

Actually you are quite wrong.. Curie and Ocd have nothing to do with knowing people or being “friends”.. anyone who took half a second to actually look at any author vote stats could see that. But they do have a strict criteria for what they vote, and dlike posts don’t really fit into that...

Well they kind of do to a small degree. If you know a curator theyre more likely to stumble upon your post.
Say you have one in your discord group. Many of them check the promotion pages there especially if they know the discord group generally creates quality content.

It boils down to knowing where to place yourself and where its most likely a curator will find you.
Do curators vote their friends.. Sure they do but the many restrictions make it impossible to do that on any kind of regular basis.

I how this has morphed into so much 🙂

The comment was - if you aren’t friends with them, you won’t get votes.

Of course if we are going to change that into Well I mean sometimes it’s hard to find new authors when they first start out, compared with those that are already known. Sure. But that’s not what was said, no matter how much back peddled happened since... so sometimes when people say dumb comments that they don’t know anything about - people correct them.. it really shouldn’t be this complicated.

Oh how very smart you are. You're the best. 👍👍👍 You should get a trophy!🏆 Not sure if we have a STAR token here but I'll give you a medal and five stars for your effort. 😊

You really have a problem with getting some criticism don’t you?

You were wrong in your statement and I said so, get over it. You have now said that’s not what you meant at all and that it’s just very hard to be “noticed” as a small fish, fair enough.

I don’t need your gold stars, you go ahead and keep them for your bad attitude and snark.. it’s super impressive.

Oh hey I meant it. I was giving a compliment. You don't like getting compliments? Would you rather get something else? 🤔🤔🤔

Yes I know dlike posts don't fit at all. I've been here for more than a year. 😆 And saying I am quite wrong is beside the point because I started from the bottom to be a minnow. I know exactly what I'm talking about. 😊

Nice to meet you justineh.

Everyone starts from the bottom 😉 that doesn’t mean you are correct about your statement about Curie and ocd- which is what I was commenting on. You are incorrect on your statement, which is what I said.

Really? It's true for me. If it's not for you then it's ok. Don't fret to correct me. Usually OCD and Curie curators will only notice someone if you make them notice the quality posts unless they follow you closely or they chanced upon a post. If you've never scraped for scraps of attention here then you won't understand.

I very much understand as I also started with nothing, like everyone else.. and I also know how each group works. So what you meant to say was - I don’t like them because they don’t vote for me - but what you did instead was try to bash the two groups and claim they only vote their friends, which is incorrect. It’s not about it being incorrect for me or you.. it’s about it being a false statement, so I corrected you.

Ocd and Curie have specific criteria, so some content just won’t receive a vote. That’s why there are many other curation groups that cover all different areas.

So what I was trying to say is just because you haven’t been personally curated by them doesn’t mean they only vote their friends, which is what you said.. and why I corrected you.

Oh, it seems I've been misunderstood. 😆 I like Curie and OCD, they're the best and the top curators here. I would have given up on here last yr if not for Curie if anyone cares to even check my posts. They have curated me several times in fact when I was writing more non-personal or non-blog like posts everyday. Now I'm over the pls-notice-me-senpai stage and just post whatever I want. Sometimes I do post the way I do last year but if I don't make it "seen" it will never be voted by Curie or OCD unless they chance upon it.

Why say I'm bashing them when I'm not? I'm stating facts. I'm not "friends" with any of them and those who find my curatable posts when I do have some are always appreciated. ❤ Curators do not vote their friends only I know that too thanks for letting me know what I already know. 😆

What I'm trying to say is, if you don't do anything to get noticed as a redfish (like when I was starting out and plenty of activity was around as opposed to now) provided your post is a high quality one, you get a slim chance to get curated by those two. It may not be very true now because there are less people who post now than before but it's not impossible that it still happens.

There are plenty of communities to join out here to get big upvotes. One must need to look around and find them based on their interests. Redfishes or Steemit newbies should know that.

Can I get some DRAMA over here? @whatsup 😂

My comment is getting to be a dramatic section.

Curators look for content to curate everywhere on the platform. Doesn’t matter if you’re friends or enemies at all.

Yes they do. And you'd also need to find them if you're very new here and serious to earn on Steemit. One can't be idle and wait for them to come to you. One must be proactive here.

Just because I said "friends" doesn't make the fact that curators will of course look at the post of people they follow and know first before going out and finding other worthy posts. 😆 It's only natural to check on your closest network then go out and find other posts from people you "don't know". Of course that doesn't mean it's what all curators do.
