I am not sure the Jan. figure can be used as an accurate reflection. There were a ton of new users, that I think were not all really users, I on average in Jan, like most people were getting 10-20 new followers a day for a few weeks. I did not think then, nor now that they were real accounts. Yet some of them did vote, and some of them did post, and some did comment. I understand the idea behind the door traffic, but with social media I think it is a bit different than a walk through the door business.
