We were one of the few witnesses that were heavily against the Soft Fork and never applied it! We made a statement about it here.
It reads as follows:
Any Hard (or Soft fork) that proposes to fork out any account or limit the actions of an account on the Steem blockchain we will oppose now and in the future and anyone on the Steem blockchain should be able to do with their stake whatever they want.
We have been a community and developer witness for over 2,5 years and are looking to serve the community for many more.
We are the creators of Steemify here. It's the best notification application for Steem for iOS. We are currently working on an Android version. With your help we are hoping to have it translated to many different languages so more people can enjoy our app.
To answer your questions:
1. Are you willing to believe the sanctity of private property or do you just want to take innocent people’s hard earned money under toxic “consensus”?
Yes. As shown by our statement, we believe in the sanctity of private property.
2. Are you willing to shorten the SP power-down period to 3-7 days from the current period?
7 days is the shortest we would recommend because of how the voting mechanism of the blockchain works. Any shorter opens up exploits for voting abuse.
3. Are you willing to remove the down-voting policy of STEEM blockchain?
Yes
4. Are you willing to introduce smart contracts into the STEEM block chain?
Yes
5. Are you willing to keep a good relationship with prestigious exchanges and increase our STEEM token value or do you just want to fuck them?
Yes, we would like to see STEEM on many more exchanges and keep good relationships with them.
6. Are you willing to protect the rights of the community members or do you just want to hurt and destroy those you disagree with?
We will protect the rights of the community members.
7. Are you willing to support Steemit, Inc. in accomplishing their job to increase our token value or do you just want to stab them in the back for your own interest?
Yes, we would like to see the token value of STEEM go up.
8. Are you willing to increase STEEM token value that benefits the whole community or do you only care about your own interest and don’t give a fuck about the real community?
Yes, we believe an increase in the STEEM token benefits the whole community.
9. Are you willing to welcome new investors in the future and include everyone into our community or do you just want to fuck those new investors, freeze their investment and kick them out?
Yes, more investors are welcome!
10. Are you willing to always stick to the truth or will you just spread rumors to generate misunderstandings in the community and poison our community culture?

We like you and hope that you as an investor will help make Steem become bigger and better.
We also hope that the community, investors and developers can soon move past the events of recent days and can start building again to make Steem the best blockchain it can be.
Considering 22.5 only ensures Steemit Inc. funds are safeguarded from being frozen, we can upgrade our server if need be. Although, just to let you know, under 22.1 this is also the case.

I have similar feelings, respected his stance on 22.2 (even though I had a different opinion). However his stance on 22.5 is unbecoming of someone I respect.

It was actually a tough decision for me to proxy to someguy123, I really like choosing my own witnesses and hope to resume soon. Since the whales are deciding the balance, I'd rather just see witness voting as a issue of black and white right now. Someguy123 has quick servers and is on top of the game.
Generally, there is a lot of grey areas in most witness activity and governance. We need to reach a compromise. However I will not compromise on removing my choice for downvotes.
If you don't want downvotes, there is already a feature that enables it, set 'decline post rewards'. It will make all votes completely irrelevant.

From reading this I see now that our vision for the blockchain are not in alignment so I am removing my witness vote.

I won't take a rushed decision and retract my approval for witness @blockbrothers although I disagree with some important bullet points where I see at most a middle way, rather than one way or another.
During these days I've seen way too many knee-jerk reactions, including by myself at times, and too little progress.
You are unlucky, because this comment is on a censorship resistant platform and no matter how many downvotes you may get, this treason will live till the end of times. Mark down which block it is stored into and keep reading it everyday. This is how you'll be remembered...
I can respect disagreements about v0.22.2, but removing a down vote is the opposite of protecting property. This would mean the rewards pool would be completely controllable by whoever has the most Steem Power and can write a script to spam the network and self vote. You've been here long enough to see the results of that. The emotional result of being downvoted is certainly real and something we can only work to improve via interface changes and education that "pending rewards" are not real until the community finishes voting (which includes those who disagree over payout). Flag wars are brutal. I was flagged for months by a massive whale and I know it sucks. Removing the one thing that protects the rewards pool is not an appropriate response. The last HF was all about improving the downvote functionality to further protect the rewards pool and this would be a step backwards.

A regular or novice user may not understand the importance of having such a tool. I believe seasoned users and witnesses do understand it.
