Most people come to Steem though Steemit. It scores high in Google searches about Crypto and is the only place to sign up for free. Newcomers may think that's all there is to it but that isn't true. Because Steem uses a blockchain there are multiple sites that let you blog, play games, and check your stats. Here's a list of the best ones to use.
Alternate Sites to Browse the Blockchain
Busy.org
Busy.org shows the exact same content as Steemit.com but has a much nicer GUI. It's a great place to go if you're tired of Steemit.com's look or just want to get some variety
Utopian
Utopian runs on the Steemit blockchain and lets you be rewarded for contributions to open source projects. Utopian takes 25% of the post payout to pay the sponsors and moderators and the other 75% goes to the author and curators.
DecentMemes
DecentMemes is the best place to post and view memes on the Steemit blockchain. DecentMemes takes 25% of the post payout to pay its creators and the other 75% goes to the author and curators.
dTube
As you can guess from the name, dTube is the Steem version of YouTube. It's just way better because it is decentralized and easy to earn from :D Like Utopian and dMania they take a 25% commission.
dLive
dLive lets you live stream onto the Steemit blockchain. It is totally free so if you like playing games give it a try.
Games
SteempunkNet
SteempunkNet is a fun game that you can play while browsing Steemit. If you join be sure to send me a challenge. (I'd tell you to send one to @ravenruis but she absolutely hates losing)
SteemPacman
Like Pacman? Then checkout SteemPacman. Just enter your username when you finish to get a small Steem prize! The better you do, the more you get.
Steem Stats
SteemWorld
SteemWorld is the best stats site out there. You can view your voting power, future rewards, detailed breakdowns of those rewards, and soon there will be a handy CSI(Community Support Indicator) stat.
SteemHater
SteemHater is a simple little site to see who those mean people who downvote your posts are.
SteemReports
SteemReports is the place to visulaize all those stats you've always wanted to see and the ones you didn't. Check out this connection graph!
SteemBoard
Nifty little site that gives you badges based on your activity. Its Steemit account @steemitboard occasionally has holiday badges that you can gift to others.
Notifications
GINABot
GINA is a Discord bot that you can set up to notify you about almost anything. Some of the more useful features include replies, mentions, and transfers. It only costs 0.001 Steem or SBD to verify and your funds will be sent right back so give it a try!
Resources for Exposing Your Posts
SteemFollower
SteemFollower is a great site that rewards you for supporting others. You can browse through all the current posts of Steemfollower users and upvotte them. Upvoting them gives you points that help you get upvotes. The best thing about the system is that you choose who to upvote, so you are only rewarding quality content.
Minnow Support Project
The Minnow Support Project is a great thing for newbies to join. Send them a .002SBD registration fee and you can have their bot upvote one of your posts once every 24 hours. If you are interested in joining but don't have the fees, leave a comment on this post and if I look at your profile and see some good content I'll send you the registration fees. This offer applies for as long as I use Steemit
Cleaning Steem
Steemcleaners
Steemcleaners is a group of people who do their best to reduce spam on Steemit. If you ever find spam or plagarised content on Steemit, use the link above to fill out a report. Steemcleaners will look at it and if they agree with you they will send you a small reward and start downvoting the spammer.
Thank you for sharing.
Will checkout SteemBoard @steemitboard and GINABot.
Have been using busy.org, dmania, and steemfollower - working well so far.
btw on busy.org you have a share option (referral reward) that you can use on your post link instead of directly linking to busy.org - gives you a benefit as well... I guess yours would be https://busy.org/i/@carn - check the link yourself in case I am wrong:) best of luck
:/ couldn't find any info on Busy referrals though that link does redirect to the main page. Do you remember where you saw that info?
Took me some time to find it again :)
Go to settings from(red circle)
Once there you will find it on the right
Best of luck

Thanks :D
Great summary of the Steemit resources available right now, @carn! Thanks for putting this together. I'm going to pin it in my resources channel on my Discord Server.
I'm unable to upvote today, but I’ve resteemed this article as one of my daily post promotions for the @mitneb Curation Trail Project. It will be featured in the @mitneb Curation Trail Project Daily Report for 27 JAN 2018.
Cheers!
You should fear me, for I am scarily intimidating ...
Great guide, btw. lol thumbs up :D
As a follower of @followforupvotes this post has been randomly selected and upvoted! Enjoy your upvote and have a great day!
