An easy and practical way to accomplish this would be to allow people to.pay in actual currency, which from my perspective means 90% silver U.S. coins, which will always have an accepted hard value, regardless of what is happening in other markets.

Sounds like a great idea!

My favorite way, though, is simply buying circulated 90% silver US coins, or saving those I find in my change.

Literally the cheapest way to invest in silver, with a ready market all over the world in any economy, zero need for electricity or internet access, and completely usable even in a grid down situation.
