RE: The Number One Fix to Improve Steem's Chances for Mainstream Adoption

in #steem6 years ago

When I first came to Steem and read what it was all about, I thought that it would regulate itself and provide positive changes as a community toward something that would seduce everyone to come, something like reddit. But nowadays, the changes that I'm seeing are instead toward greed, making Steem less profitable for the new and more profitable for the big stakeholders who run bid bots and other commercial features.

Whereas I would earn around 150 USD a month before, now I'm making even less than 40 USD a month due to the SBD dip together with the "unprofitabilisation" of all the services. I'm not very sure what can be done, but I would really appreciate some urgent redesigns to keep the site attractive for everyone. I think that it is on the blockchain developers to keep it aluring.
