Hi everyone,
It has been a while since we could enjoy some positive news coming from the world of cryptocurrencies but as you probably noticed, this might change soon as today has been a very promising day from the perspective of all crypto holders and Steemians too, of course.
The whole crypto market has been in the green today with most coins gaining between 10 and 20% in the past hours, which is great, however, there is a cryptocurrency that has been growing even more and I am very happy to inform you that we are talking about Steem here!
Steem has already skyrocketed by up to 45% today and it still keeps growing, currently sitting at $ 2.61 with a 36.33% increase over the past 24 hours as you can see in the picture taken from coinmarketcap.com below.
Let us hope our beloved cryptocurrency keeps the newly gained momentum and soars to even more impressive numbers.

The great thing was that Steem rallied against bitcoin as bitcoin surged $1000+. Most of the other alts, even the major ones, were loosing ground to bitcoin today! That is impressive in my book!
That's right! I am actually wondering myself what is behind this big rise... Only few minutes back Steem was at 3.3 USD with 62% rise in the past 24 hours which makes it one of the top performers. Looks like someone is stacking quite a bit.
if we compare steemit to facebook, steemit is almost 3 years old, while facebook is 15 years old, facebook with that old age they are now having some data privacy issues, hence steemit is too young and she's still have so much to learn and rooms to grow. :)
Indeed... a very good news finally...Congratulations to all those who stick to this platform even in the difficult times, now we must prepared for few more pleasant surprises....
You said something very important.... Even though I do not consider having a difficult times over the past few weeks, a lot of people did which is wrong.... Some people just do not have any patience and those will be the ones loosing at the end. It goes for many different aspects of life, not just crypto.
Great news. I guess we are pretty lucky that we stacked up our Steem over time and didn't cash out or anything. Hopefully it's just the beginning of another bull run. See what the charts and price will look like when spring is over. What's your prediction Tomas?
Hi! To be honest I am not that concerned with the short term gains/loses since I am invested in crypto for longterm - years. Unfortunately, we are still at time when all the price movements are correlated to BTC and almost every single coin is copying BTC - goes with its price weather up or down. I only have one coin in my bags that did not drop much during this big sell off of the past 3 months and is actually at higher levels from its ATH of late December/early January - BTM. So what is next? Hard to tell as there is a lot of manipulation going on in the market but with all the developments in the space and new actors coming in I am very bullish in the long term. If BTC stays in the uptrend and nothing major happens we could see Steem rising pass its ATH and with successful implementation of SMT's and communities reach easily 50 bucks by year's end. But let's see what happens.
Really it s a great news since a long time..I have definitely believed in Cryptos. But the long wait has been depressing. I'm surely not giving up and these news can send positive and motivating waves..
Patience is the virtue! And that goes especially well for crypto:)....
I just hope it holds on to these gains i am trying not to be overly optimistic at this stage...
People should not be concerned about short term prices.... we are still at very early stage of things being developed and we all should look long term - years from now.
@czechglobalhosts, Yep..I have seen those news about crypto currency update and still this moment it's unstoppable uptrend.
That's great news to every steemians and now it's up to 69.69% and price being $3.35. I'm waiting to see it's over $5 very soon. So in fact more patience and keep hodl. Also SBD and other coins also start up. Thanks for update Thomas.
If the positive uptrend in the market continues we will easily pass 5 bucks...
I had the feeling that steem will really skyrocket this week after going through the recent level of activities on different cryptocurrencies, I discovered steemit was among the listed site.
I am so happy, it will get much more better as time goes on, there is hope for steem.

The upside potential for Steem is massive with many fields still in its infancy or even unrealized. I am very bullish long term!
I hope that it can holds it ground and stable out at this point for a while though. I don't want it to go up too fast because I don't think it would be able to stay at that price point without crashing down a bit. Steady growth is better in my opinion. Hopefully we aren't just seeing more market manipulation right now.
I am on this one with you Wes. I am not very keen on sharp rises myself as it does lead to sharp corrections afterwards. With that said though nothing is steady in crypto space:).....
Hopefully we will all look back fondly on when it was at $1.50 and hate that we didn't buy more, lol. Go baby go!
