Hello Steemits, here’s my post on Game of Thrones (GoT) and STEEM:
For those of you that don’t know what the GoT is about, it is a series of books written by George and adapted to a television show. Both the book and TV series are not complete to this point in time. George is still writing away while the TV series is decades behind.
The series is about the mythical world of Westeros, in particular, the seven kingdoms that cover a vast amount of land and sea. It depicts the old times, much like a feudal society that comprises of royal families or ruling houses that have been established and other lesser houses that pledge allegiance to the established houses. Much of the show depicts the struggle of men and women; how greed, jealously, and pure evil interact with the righteous or self-righteous men, who make claims to power based on many gods and such. The show is addicting and simply EPIC. Each episode of the television show costs millions of dollars to produce, making it a cinematic masterpiece. There is much more to what I am writing and you should basically read the entire series and/or watch the show. [Each book is well over 1,000 pages]. There are DRAGONS, magic, monsters, giants and much more.

Warning! GoT has a ton of violence. I mean it is a devastating and exciting show with so many complex relationships and events--one of the most brutal shows on television really. (HBO) Just wanted to let you guys know that if you get into the show, just don’t make favorites.
Now back to this world – the STEEMIT world. Why does one need to rule? Well, if one can rule, one can sway the form and future of the content on this site. One does not need to rule, but without rules we have no order. The bots take over, and I cannot allow such a thing.
To play the game of thrones you need power, which entails money, influence and sheer force. Sometimes your name can rein power. If you were say a Stark member back in the day when King Robert ruled or you can be little-finger, who managed to obtain a substantial amount of wealth and influence through his backdoor dealings and shady businesses, then maybe people will heed to your name. Everyone needs a powerful friend. Who wants to be mine?
Both in the Steemit world and GoT, you will need POWER. How do you rule the seven kingdoms of Westereos and sit on the Iron Throne? Well it’s simple, you either inherit the throne by being from a “Royal” family lineage or you take the throne with Power. Of course, much of establishing a claim to the Iron Throne requires a lot of support from the Great Houses, which are most powerful families (houses) of the Seven Kingdoms. They rule parts of the land and have subjects. The Great Houses usually answer to their ruler.
The rightful inherit part is basically assuming you are the eldest male heir of the current king/queen. Although, you could be the last surviving female heir and still become the ruler of the Iron Thorne. [I will not spoil any recent events in the GoT t.v. series]
The second way to obtain the Iron Throne is through the sheer power of armies. When your name is called, the fear of the gods will come to mind. Both the royal lineage way and the Sheer Power way implies that you have a pretty solid army that can protect the people.
How does one obtain the resources to feed such an army?

The iron bank is the STEEM backbone and we are all trying to get some $$. We need to post good content and have the people like it. Just like any ruler, they have to make good business decisions to obtain coin. Generally, there’s other ways to make money. Take it by force.
Steem Power is much like the power used in ruling the Iron Throne. To obtain power, you will need the allegiance of many Great Houses. You will need to procure favors with many people that have influence in the kingdoms you seek to rule. You will also need a substantial some of Coin to pay for your armies.
For a ruler without an army is a fool.
BUT,
The more power you have the more influence you get with people. People will follow you to battle till the end. You will need to show a great act for the good of the people. So here I make my claim:
