thanks for explaining your downvote.. i think everyone who does it should so the whole community can understand each persons reasons .. there are quite a few different reasons to downvote! It is bit ironic that you downvote And follow! Lol

Indeed there are, but my main one is bidbot abuses, bidbots can have a place on STEEM for promotion but they can't give return to the users who use them and they need to at least have some sort of screening process... We are a community, the posts on the trending page should be of good quality to bring more people to Steem. And ofc, they don't need $100 bucks to get on trending, that just removes a lot of STEEM from the reward pool for nothing.

I think due to curation split the ROI Has been eliminated, although i could be wrong!

As for excessive use..’yes! It was an accident to hit $100 and #1 spot.. i didnt do the math!! Just threw what seemed like a fair amount of steem at it hoping to get in the top 20 or so..
