Thanks for sharing this @broncnutz, this is a matter that is hugely important, especially for people with a lot of money in this industry.
I think that the safest way (in my opinion) is to either use and encrypted USB key, or to use a raspberry pi with a lot of encryptions that is kept offline. I also think that your method is a great way to stay secure.

Your right, those ways of storage are even better but the avg person needs is safe because t most of all simple. Trezor is the way to go.
Yes I agree! I'm actually running workshops I Ireland with some other people from Steemit to show beginners how to get started, and how to store their private keys properly.
