In simple terms, butterflies are distinguished, aka butterflies night and day. based on its active time and physical characteristics. Butterflies are generally active during the day, while moths are mostly active at night. Butterflies rest or perch by straightening their wings, moths perch by stretching their wings. Butterflies usually have a brilliantly beautiful color, moths tend to be dark, dull or gray. However, these differences are always exceptions, so that scientifically cannot be used as a definite grip.

Butterflies and moths are very many types, on Sumatra Island and Java Island alone there are more than 500 butterflies. The type of moth has not been made a complete list so far, but it is suspected that there are hundreds of species. Butterflies also become one of the few types of insects that are not harmful to humans

Many believe that butterflies have a very short life. Actually, adult butterflies are able to live for a week or almost a year depending on the species. Most species go through long larval levels.
Butterflies can lay eggs once or many times each year. The number of offspring a year is different from the influence of climate, where butterflies living in the tropics can lay eggs more once a year.

EGG

Butterfly eggs protected by hard milled skin called khorion are covered with a waxy coating that protects eggs from sunburn before the larvae have fully developed.
Each egg has smooth funnel-shaped pores at one end, namely micropyl.
which aims to allow the entry of sperm water and mix with egg cells. Another species is the size of the egg, but all butterfly eggs are both spherical and ovate.

Butterfly eggs are attached to the leaves with a special adhesive that quickly hardens. When hardened, the material contracts and bends the shape of the egg. These adhesives are easily seen to form meniscus material that surrounds the tread of each egg. This adhesive is also produced by the pupa to tie each cremaster. This adhesive is really hard until the silk mat that attaches to each other cannot be separated.

Butterfly eggs are always placed on plants. Each butterfly species has its own range of house plants, both only one species and various species. The egg level is traversed for several weeks for most butterflies, but eggs that come out shortly before winter, especially in temperate climates, must go through the diapaus level (rest) and only hatch in the spring. There are other species of butterflies that can lay eggs in the spring so that the eggs can hatch in the summer they have determined by the butterfly parent.

I just hope you can support me. in order to advance to the next level. I thank you for good cooperation.

Hopefully this post is useful.
