RE: Real Talk: The Future of Steem

in #steem6 years ago

Hi @therealwolf
I am an older person (55 years old) and not into any coding or technical stuff. I am not really using to many of the apps, all I want to do is post the occasional video and write some articles, and I must admit lately I am quite lazy and don't do to much. For me things are just to complicated (not user friendly), why can't I just write an article in a normal way like for instance in windows office, straight into Steem? I must write in something difficult like stack editor, which just does not come naturally, the same with photos, cannot just drag and drop. For normal people these things must be easy, I know of people who just gave up, because it is to mush of a schlep to post.
Then there is the bidbots, that just go against everything Steem supposedly stands for, reward for good contents and a reputation that grows together with this, now people buy votes and reputation.
If the basics cannot be made easy for the man on the street, Steem will never reach Facebook type of acceptance.
I realize there is a bigger picture of the block chain and the technology, but if we can have a big user-base like facebook, there will be more cash / resources to develop the fancy stuff later. If the user-base increase it should also help with the Steem price, which is now sinking faster than other crypto's
