Tim, you were my hero here for so long, till I got a little status of my own, then it became more of a sort of peer admiration and respect, but you have also been here long enough to know the devil is in the details.
I can't elaborate here on all the corruption I am speaking of, because for that I need to show you all the data Ive collected on the matter,
but let me plant this seed.
Steemit inc must centralize this decentralized platform or lose control... and why do they need control?
Because something like SMTs requires a hardfork, things that would fix the trending page or bidbot abuse, also... and definitely the equality of opportunity for witness positions as well.
But gosh, who decides on the hardforks, and by extension, the future of the overlords of centralization, steemit inc themselves?
You top 20 do. So with literal millions of dollars at stake, this is no game. Control must be maintained.
Dan himself said steemit inc centralizes this blockchain and works to destroy the spirit of the premise promised here itself.
If you aren't trying to fix that, then that's part of the problem.
To your point about protocols, to fix them, youd have to get people being honest about it, and with those millions at stake, and the future of a the most powerful actors on the system at risk... there is a lot of influence to do bad things, man.
So... I have nothing to lose by exposing it, cause left unchecked I'll likely never have anything here, nor will the ura-souls, or others doing so much down here in the rank and file.
And we only have our overlords who can fix it, or be exposed for not actively, passionately and vocally trying to do so.
Conviction man. I got it, mixed with passion and desire.
Do I fault them for being successful? No if its on merit, I love @crimsonclad and @followbtcnews like crazy. I held you to that ideal as well and felt you were one of our champions.
Your response to ura and me made me feel like maybe I either called that wrong or change had occurred.
Your response here, makes me think maybe I didn't read you wrong for nine months, but maybe I did today.
Thanks for responding in depth.
Thanks for saying something instead of just letting it silently bother you :)
Well, you know my story around here. When I hold people in high regard and I feel like they let me down, it definitely is not something I take lightly. It was bothering me. I'd hate to think you aren't what I thought you were. I've already had to discover that about someone I once held in high regard here, and it's been an incredibly tough thing to cope with ever since.
