Steem is censorship resistant allowing both freedom of speech for the content creators as well as the readers, listeners, or viewers.

The goal of Steem is the distribution of the coin based on contribution to the platform. Contributors include content creators, investors, developers, curators, witnesses, etc.

Steem has something different to everyone. It really depends what you are looking for. I would expect most users to come to explore content and actively participate in the ecosystem.

For me, Steem provides an opportunity to express myself as well as offers a return which I can use to support the growth of my content.
