In the university, I took a course titled 'Physiological Chemistry'. And I loved it! In this course one of the topics we treated was 'The Fight or Flight response' which was one of my most interesting topics in school.
Fight and flight response refers to a specific biochemical reaction that both humans and animals experience during intense fear or stress. The brain synthesizes a cascade of hormones that determine how we react to stress or danger.
Away from physiology and school.
The interesting part of this topic to me was the fact that in the face of danger and stress we are wired with options which didn't surprise me as life is full of options but in the face of danger we also have two options FIGHT or FLEE!
This is interesting because it means that we can actually choose, no matter the danger. While it is wise to get off the road if a truck is about to knock you down, it is also wise to discern dangers that are worth fighting. We face a lot of challenges and dangers and stress on a daily basis. From emotional to financial to marital to physical to psychological (to mention but a very few) but in the presence of all these dangers, the good news is that we still have choices to make. We either fight or take flight.
Fighting means facing the challenge head on. Not being a 'scaredy' cat and making up impossible excuses. A martial challenge for instance must not always end with a divorce. I personally see divorce as a flight response on whatever ground.(inexperienced much? Yeah I know) Staying to work it out is a fight response.
Fleeing on the other hand is to put on the fearful, defeated and scared attire. Letting life punch your vital signs out of you and envying people who fought. Which is messed up by the way! Sometimes we become too sensitive to life's dangers that we end up running away from imaginary problems or running away from challenges we could have faced with a little more effort.
Giving up is no longer an option. Stop walking on tip toes. Stand your ground, push your self and decide to see possibilities! If you have life in you, then you have a choice to make. You can either wear the crown of defeat and fear or you can push it and record your own success. If your life was a movie would you pay to watch your own story?

Nice topic @abiye, life is filled with choices, it takes the grace of God to choose the right one,take a stand and fight!! But when it comes to marital affairs we need to understand that it takes the fighting spirit of both parties involved to save the marriage! In an instance when its just one person, flight is usually a resort for the other.

Its better to flight than to fight
The enemy us so dangerous that he will always look for means to fight you.
But what will you do?
Those who have given their lives to him will always be stood for.
Many don't know what it means to be with Christ and stand in his ways and do his ways will , the love of God is only bound to those who put their whole heart in the lord and do what God expect them to do through him who made heaven and earth.
God who create us knows that we are humans and that we are prone to sin anytime but he never puts his face away from us .
David was known as a man after Gods heart not because he never commit sin or he never annoys God, but david is always ready to ask for Gods mercies anytime he sin against God and humanity.
He founds time to worship him and praise him and this makes God heart to always be directed towards Davids heart and life.
You can do all things according to how you want it to be when Christ is in your life and he gives you direction on what to do and also what to give to others
Even though the fight or flight response is automatic, it isn't always accurate. In fact most of the time when the fight or flight response is triggered it is a false alarm - there is no threat to survival. The part of the brain the initiates the automatic part of the fight or flight response, the amygdala, can't distinguish between a real threat and a perceived threat.
The important thing to take away is that the fight or flight response is an automatic response..wondefull post @abiye
Surrender, and in Jesus Christ everything can be done, faith must not be forgotten, let us remember the miracles performed by the son of God on earth
Never accept defeat, never write yourself us. Give up is no longer an option. Keep on trying and you will sure get there.
Giving up on issues ,or running away from them, they will still be there, coming back to you.
So it is better to stand and fight back and overcome the issue and situation on ground.
Running will only make things worse for you.
You words have really inspired me brother @abiye. Though both fight and flight happens with an intense fear but always, we must learn how to fight problems and when dangers are coming which will leads us to sin, then we must flight.

In life, there are some certain responsibilities that might come our way that is capable of given us another route that is different from the plan of God for us, we just have to take our stand and fight challenges.

Yes you are right. Life is always surrounded with stress, if you are not determine to face any obstacle or problem, you will end up failing. But if you are determine to reach your target, then you are a success.
No success comes for free. If you don't fight, then you cant win. But if you face the situation then you are a winner.
