Approaching God in a way that is not superficial really means completely stripping the soul. For a total abandonment with God there must be transparency. We are human beings of flesh, imperfect, in whose interior the precious holy spirit of God lives and moves. When we can feel the depth of his presence, he is reacting to who he is. it is not a reaction that is learned; It is a revelation from the Lord that shows you who you really are.
Every time I glimpse a little who he is, I see more clearly who I am. My image is the reflection of the brightness of his true, and in the middle of it all being accepted in the Lord. When you come face to face before the Lord you are just like Adam and Eve in the garden of Eden before the fall - they were naked before him without being ashamed.
Therefore, always remember what Santiago says:
James 4: 8
Come near to God, and He will come near to you. Clean your hands, sinners; and double minded, purify your hearts.
