LIGHT FROM THE WORD: YOU ARE JUSTIFIED

By entering through faith into what God has always wanted to do for us - set us right with him, make us fit for him - we have it all together with God because of our Master Jesus. - Romans 5:1

WE ARE JUSTIFIED THROUGH THE FAITH WE HAVE IN CHRIST JESUS.

To be justified is to be discharged; having no charge; to be free; to be acquitted. To justify is to declare someone right. By justification, we are united with God, having one mind with Him and also in union with Him.

We are justified through the faith we have in Christ Jesus. It is faith in what he has done that justifies us. Justification restores us to our original position in God. It is a benefit of justification. Because of sin, man lost his original place in God. Sin collected all that man was empowered with. Sin took away all that from man.

Through the death of Jesus, we were justified and restored to our original place of dominion. By justification, all of God's nature, person and power is at work in us. We become everything that God is by justification.

By justification, we have been declared right. Righteousness is not forgiveness of sins or pardon but being declared right by God through Jesus Christ. Righteousness is not being of good moral conduct, but it is a free of God through Christ. It is not a reward for good moral conduct; it is a gift.

What renews your mind is the understanding you have concerning how God sees you and what He says about you. Sinners are rebels. They are those who rebel against God's word. Your being put right with God is a function of Jesus Christ. He paid with his life on the cross.

Romans 5:8 But God put his love on the line for us by offering his Son in sacrificial death while we were of no use whatever to him.

Romans 5:9 Now that we are set right with God by means of this sacrificial death, the consummate blood sacrifice, there is no longer a question of being at odds with God in any way.

Romans 5:10 If, when we were at our worst, we were put on friendly terms with God by the sacrificial death of his Son, now that we're at our best, just think of how our lives will expand and deepen by means of his resurrection life!

Therefore, God's attitude towards sinners is that of favour. The sacrifice of Jesus on the cross restored man back to God. We have no record of sin any more.

Stay justified and give no room to sin.
