And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.

Acts 1 vs 7.

What is time? For the purpose of this work, time can be defined as the moment at which , or stretch of duration in which things happen. It can also be defined as the season due to or appointed for something to happen or come about. Time can also be defined as the passage of events in chronological sequence.

In understanding better the concept of time, we look at the meaning of time. In Greek Language , there are two words that defines time and the first one is called "Kronos" from which the English word "Chronology". was derived, meaning the passage of time, the quantity time or time in general concept.

The other word "Kairos" meaning the time marked by an event, also known as quality time, the time that signifies the happening of an event. The English word "chronology" signifying time derived from the word "kronos".

What really is time? There are different perceptions to what time means to people, the business people will say "time is money" while some may disagree based on the importance of time to them. Time is life, much more expensive than money because whatever time lost can never be recovered or regained.

Time is the only asset of universal equality , the only thing we have equally as a man on earth has access to the same 24 hours in a day, and whatever use of which you put it will determine what you achieve.

Life is also made up of time, it is ticking away by the seconds. What are you doing with your time?. Time and money shares the same way you spend money or rather invest in them both. People are fond of saying I want to while away time in order words, trying to waste time, most people spent time than investing time, whatever wastes your time, wastes your life.

We should rather put our good time to good use; learn to invest it rather thena spending or whiling it away. Use your time to learn and increase your knowledge, adding value to one's life cannot be done without the use of time.

In considering the the two Greek words on time, it is noted that "Kronos" is what is common to everyone. It is general time we all have access to, but "Kairos" on the other hand happens once in a while and not to everyone. It is obvious that every event marking time (Kairos) is experienced inside the quantity or general time (Kronos). Kairos can only be experienced based on how prepared a man is.

19 So he departed thence, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was plowing with twelve yoke of oxen before him, and he with the twelfth: and Elijah passed by him, and cast his mantle upon him.
20 And he left the oxen, and ran after Elijah, and said, Let me, I pray thee, kiss my father and my mother, and then I will follow thee. And he said unto him, Go back again: for what have I done to thee?
21 And he returned back from him, and took a yoke of oxen, and slew them, and boiled their flesh with the instruments of the oxen, and gave unto the people, and they did eat. Then he arose, and went after Elijah, and ministered unto him.
