RE: Is The Internet Racist? Let's Build A Stock Photo Library That Actually Represents The World's People

@Kevkong, it isn't "fucking ridiculous". Firstly, I can relate with this article over 50%. Often times, its hard for me to come by black pictures on the sites mentioned in the post. And I am glad about the post because such occurrence bothers me alot. Even on google, when searching for what have you and you aren't well detailed, it brings out "White" first. Maybe you haven't observed well, if you do, the truth will reveal itself to you. Racism hasn't died yet, blacks are still the "other". Since, I have also thought-alike with the article and others can relate with it too. I don't think it's fucking ridiculous, personally. The purpose of the article is even empowerment for black-skinned. (Through the project suggested)

It was an interesting read for me.

@mimy Not saying it wasn't interesting. I agree with the problem of white biased photographic information but is this racist? My point is that the term racist should be used for describing racial hatred and serious crimes against any people of a certain race, creed or colour etc... I'd just call call this a lack of education and a bias driven by commerce and trends.

Okay. Seems we have come to an agreement on the issue of the sideline . It's okay too if you want to tag it as "bias driven by commerce". Nice sharing idea with you @Kevkong

thanks for answering this thread.....I have a habit of kind of stirring up things.
