This is actually a great service that most people would simply overlook. I know that even many experts didn't take Amazon Web Services seriously. They thought people would run their own servers because it's cheaper. But convenience, scaling and ability to start up without having much experience can move a lot of projects forward at a rapid pace.
They even provide 500 Requests / Day for you to start developing and testing your ideas. The only major con I see is that they are just focused on Bitcoin ad Ethereum which are terrible places for your DAPPs.
