With the recent onslaught of hurricane Florence and super typhoon Mangkhut on both ends of the world wherein properties, especially houses were destructed, this is a very timely hunt.
These livable yachts have the design of a high-class luxury home but are floating in water. It has the ability to bob with water because of its buoyant nature thus withstanding rising sea levels. It is also claimed to be able to withstand category 4 hurricanes.
It is fully equipped with what are needed in a home plus hi-tech electronic gadgets like communication suite that makes living in it very convenient. It can be utilized as a vacation home, floating restaurant, party venue, hurricane refuge home or anyway you want.
It runs on 100% solar electricity, is off-grid and carbon neutral so it has low environmental impact.
This is the future of floating homes.

Is this yacht moving? It seems very expensive.
There is this part on the first video that says it rotates and you can anchor in a marina or in rivers so I guess yes, it moves.
With the very high class luxurious interior and architecture, I will not be surprised with the price. 😊

Pros:
-An amazing floating home that can resist the weather
-Awesome thing to have vs the expensive housing price
Cons:
-not too convenient for daily housing
I think it can be convenient for a daily housing but is not just practical for someonr like me who can't afford it. 😃

It's a mobile home on the beach. I don't know if I'm conservative, but is it necessary to do that on the ocean? I think it is not practical because it is available on the premise that there are no waves.
Apart from it being a hurricane proof, the other purpose of this yacht is obviously luxury. For us who cannot afford it, we can say it is not necessary but for those who can. It certainly is.

well there are some design weaknesses in my opinion -for example you need to touch the ground in order to make the house stable so its not for deep water places- but the concept and idea definitely is a need and make sense in many other ways. Maybe smaller but easy to construct versions can be more succesful. Great Hunt nevertheless!
Making the house stable is not a main concern because it is designed to float. So I won't call it a weakness if it is part of the design.
well maybe I can call it with something else instead of a design weakness but if one of the claim is hurricane protection than ground stabilization is one of the features must be they rely on.
Again, it is a floating house so it is not expected to be stable. And its floating feature is actually one of the reasons why it can withstand hurricane because it won't be fighting too much against the strength of the calamity.
Anyway, you have your own opinion.

Floating home it is very good for future who like be on the sea it is for them easyly they swim and fishing. they were do it restaurant,gym it has every things. I hope like that project multiply. Great hunt

I'd definitely love one, but I don't think I'd want it to be in the sea. It would be perfect in a lake though, but I'm not sure visitors to the lake would think so highly of it.
In the right location, these are awesome and look really high-end, and luxurious. But if somebody opened up a "party boat" in the Lake District (in the UK), or at the edge of Lake Louise, Lake Annecy, or any other place of natural beauty, I'm not sure how welcome they'd be.

I understand some or most people would want to go to the lake to enjoy nature so yes, this may not be appreciated on those cases but maybe they will still appreciate if the party is done not so often. That way, people can experience totally something different. :)

The characteristics of this house on the water are great.
In addition to floating and rising and falling the most important is resistance to hurricanes level 4 (this will need someone and check live).
It is all about solar energy so it is independent of any external sources of power.
It looks solid and attractive.
There's plenty of room and hi-tech packag so you can feel like home.
It's not bad to own it ...

Excellent hunting, the first thing that must be highlighted and that is very important is that this houseboat can withstand hurricanes type 4, which is wonderful because of its location, also its design is impressive, practically is houseboat is fantastic, also is totally equipped with latest generation appliances, and uses 100% solar energy, what else can you ask for, this is perfect. I agree about its very important feature of being a hurricane proof. Though on the website, what is highlighted is its luxurious living style. Why? I think that is because we don't have hurricanes most of the time. The manufacturer may not want to make the impression that it will be less usefull if there is no weather disturbance.

The house is powered by solar panels and withstand strong winds and storms.
The house has also the faility to filter rain water that can be used for several purposes like plumbing.

Great product. It's good to have protective home especially from nature disaster. Losing during disaster brings loss but at least thus types of technology will prevent it from happening

That would be an amazing lifestyle. They certainly are high end, and look like there is a lot of attention to detail. The ability to withstand hurricanes and storm surges is great. $2.5 million for the base model, or $4.5 million as featured is a hefty price, maybe we will have to wait till our crypto's all moon.

Kidding aside, those who can afford it may use it for personal luxury but it can also be an investment for large businesses because it can be used for other purposes like floating restaurants, etc. If I have the money, I will make it like a hotel business. :)
