Tell Time By Touch or Sight

Hunter's comment

Originally designed for the blind in mind, this ingenious wristwatch enables visually impaired individuals to tell time through feeling the small metal balls on the face and circumference of the watch.

And the design doesn’t restrict the consumers, even people with healthy vision can enjoy wearing the timepiece. It’s sleek and minimalistic design language speaks of unique presence, at a significantly cheaper price.

Old models of wristwatches for sightless were clunky and inefficient, sometimes annoying. But unlike its predecessors, this watch is a breeze to use by the visionless as they will only need to feel balls ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) that return to place when the watch is shook, instead of hands that needs to be recalibrated whenever it’s moved. There are two balls that tell different fractions of time. The outer ball signifies hours whilst the inner one tells the minutes. This contraption enabled the inventors to achieve it’s minimalistic design.

The only drawback that I can see is that it’s not mechanical, meaning that every once in a while the battery dies out and you’ll be required to replace the battery for it to work again. That is honestly the only con I can find of this product but if you don’t mind replacing batteries well the watch will quite literally suit you perfectly.

Sorry... won't happen next time.

There's nothing wrong with it being a digital wristwatch. For me, mechanicals are vintages and they aged in terms of efficiency and exactness of the time. It would also be an advantage of that watch if it solar-powered.

It just feels like there's something more elegant with mechanical watches than digital ones, largely because they run on well-engineered and intricate gears. But this one is has magnets.

It's possible to turn this into a mechanical but will most likely require more r&d and a heftier price.

And making it solar powered might interfere with the design of the watch, I imagine the weave to be akwardly placed on the face of the watch haha.

Really? You think it's not innovative with design? The product won a red dot award for the innovation. I just can't, my experience with steemhunt has been horrible. Oh my.

Welcome to steemit family! Good luck! I am sure that you will fully enjoy your journey here:)

i have visited this a second time and it just squeezes through on 'innovation' -- it is now verified.

Glad to see that this deserving watch got approved (especially considering that the #6 hunt for the same day was a veggie burger that's been around since 2009).
