The healthcare vote today was delayed again as republican leadership looks for a way to pass the bill. Senate Majority leader Mitch McConnell has mentioned he is thinking about working with the Democrats if Republicans don't come to a agreement. How you might say? Many people realize that the past months Democrats have been uncompromising when it comes to keeping Obamacare. There politics have involved hording Republican town halls and other tactics to make it seem like the public is on there side. The reality is different the public seems to be skeptical with Obamacare at best. There are those that seem to be worried about their benefits. Have Democrats been successful at changing the public opinion. Has successful they have with everything else during Trump's administration. The problem for Democrats is that there are some real problems with Obamacare that have shown up early in it's history. These problems like premiums and others are hard for Democrats to defend. Watch any interview with Democrats asked about these problems and you'll see them ignore the question every time. This has created a situation for them. The situation is in order to save Obamacare they have to change it. With Republicans not having enough votes to pass Trump's healthcare bill in the Senate. The Democrats realizing this may be the only chance at saving the bill might try to compromise. What does this mean? It means Obamacare may not be repealed which has it's own problems. If we look at the structure of Obamacare and the problems it caused, we see something interesting, it was designed to fail. The Democrats true intentions was to then create another healthcare plan to fix it. This is new plan would be a single payer plan which is what they wanted from the beginning. The Democrats never thought someone like Donald Trump would become president and ruin their plans. If they compromise on healthcare, the Democrats will only compromise on tolken issues. The democrats will only compromise to keep the bill alive for a couple more years. The new improved Obamacare will not fully fix the premium and other problems. Whos at fault? The Republican leadership and negotiators are at fault. They could draft a bill that keeps coverage for people but is voluntary and not a entitlement.
