It has been well established that our main challenge as a country is the lack of transformational leadership and working institution, our leaders are not able to effect the fundamental changes needed, so our national institution don't work.
Movement building depends on the quality of people it produces who are capable of taking action in the interest of the movement. Sound leadership training both formal and informal, is an asset. Essentially, leadership training and capacity building should be provided to people across the movement not only for those at the top level. Experienced leaders should be willing to share their skills and knowledge. leadership is not about knowing more than everybody else but rather borrowing wisdom from the people around you in order to give strategic direction to your team. Significant impact will be made if leadership would be demystified from the capacity to command and control.
Instead leadership should be separated from the power and understood as empowerment, commitment to personal excellence, determination to succeed and training that will last throughout the life. In the light of this, deliberate opportunities to learn should not be on adhoc basis but based on regularly planned initiatives. People must be encouraged to pursue personal development, which necessitates the creation of spaces and platforms for people to teach and learn from others as well. New capacity building and leadership modules must be encouraged and tested, and informal sessions embraced.
this activities shouldn't be a onetime thing, neither should it be a fortune. If we want to run inspiring campaigns that will influence people, we will need to develop members who are able to deliver well and on time.
Ghana Youth Environmental Movement is here in Ghana, educating the Youth of the country about environmental challenges and how best their contributions will be realize and use in solving or preventing some future occurrences. Your intention of becoming part of this great movement is well needed. We need to join hands together in addressing issues related to our natural environment.

A nation can only move forward if we have a well established and able leadership but unfortunately it cannot be seen in most countries especially Africa. Thanks for sharing @awuahbejamin
