For those of us that vote A LOT - we are finding the voting system changes challenging, the voting power drains out more quickly it seems. It will take some time to adjust to this, - pun intended.
So when you hit the mark on Steemit when your vote slider appears, that is a big deal to help distribute your votes / voting power more effectively.
STEEM price (the currency) -- took a sharp rise and then a dip / drop yesterday if you look at the charts, right around the time of the HardFork release and dropped all day after that. The rise came early and first.... and the drop came after.
I am not saying it is related to the HF changes/release into the wild. Here are the 2-day charts from Poloniex:

The votes get more balanced now depending on how much you want to pump it up.. And the and trades are going through the roof which means more people more trades better prices and uprising.

I'm a fan of what happened to my posts prior to the fork. Afterwards not so much, yes my posts are still getting some views but without @randowhale i'd be getting hardly anything. I did an awesome recipe for salmon picatta and it was swept under the rug last night. I used to gets hundreds of upvotes 6 months ago that has dwindled. Nearly 30% of my followers have been inactive for months. Working on getting new ones!
Since the Update HF19 my account has become much more Alive and Active. Meaning that all my posts have doubled in value and for a Newbie like myself it was like Christmas in June!!
I am now receiving multiple payments a day...
Always having something to redeem is very Motivating and has me wanting to reach for the Keyboard every free second from the little ones.
I may be able to pay for a NANNY to help with these girls if this keeps up.

Long story short, I'm loving the experience because personally I feel that every aspect of user interaction has become more valuable in the sense of us getting more Rewards as well as the rewards being fairly distributed amongst all users.

For a minnow like me, it has been great so far. I've never seen so much payout on any of my posts before, which is awesome :) As for the Voting Power, well, I'm going to make sure it gets to those who deserve it.
Things are definitely better and more balanced now. :)
I think the change that took place is all for the better. It looks like how things should be. The platform is investing more into the people, in turn should cause steemites to invest more in themselves by building more steem power in their wallets. By everyone investing in this great platform it should raise the value of steem dallors, cause multiple good investments translate to multiple profits as I see it.
For now, I'm finding 20% on posts and 1% on comments is a good balance. I may tweak that a little over the coming days, but I'll have to see how this 'recipe' work outs first.

I read @aunt-deb's comment and it may have helped me. However, I was going to say in regard to HF-19 that I was struggling with what percentages to vote on content. After reading her recommendation I may try that exact formula for a few days to see how it works. Why do you you think Steem price went down after HF 19? You would have thought it just became more appealing to new users and the price would have risen.
