RE: 10 Things You Should Never Do On Steemit

in #steemit7 years ago

Number 3, that is a very iffy one for me. Especially for a new user. A new user can vote about 10-15 times a day, and at the end of the week, still have a little bit of vote power left, not much at the 15 vote level but some. A new user in order to gain vote power/SP they need to comment and hope they get a response if it was a real comment, and not someone saying "you did not vote for my content why should I vote for your comment, response." I got one of those as a new user, I was down to 20% vote power and trying to slowly climb back out of the hole I dug. I muted that person.
I like to upvote content that I read and that I comment on. If my comment is a positive one, (which 99.9% are), then I really want to upvote it. However, I still have problems with voting too much, or is it commenting to much, a bit of both I guess. Fortunately I found a vote slider that works in steemworld. so now I can comment more, and vote more, but my vote is not worth more. I am finding a balance, my vote power rarely drops into the 70% range, (it still happens just not as often). For a new user it takes time to build, and find/grow their vote power/SP.
