According to Verge devs this crowd fund is 100% real and 100% needed to secure the mystery partnership that some are saying could boost Verge to be a top 5 cryptocurrency in terms of market cap.
who is this mystery partner?
The only details I have been able to find on this mystery partner is that it is a global network of high traffic websites looking to enter the crypto-sphere. This mystery partner is looking for a quick and private means of completing transactions for its current user base.
How much has been raised?
At the point of this writing only 23% or approx. 17,598,548.69xvg of the needed funds has been raised.

From the looks of things the target goal set by Verge will never be hit by the deadline, but the world of crypto is unpredictable as ever and no one ever knows what exactly is going to happen. We will have to wait until Monday the 26th to see what occurs if anything.
My expectations
I do expect to see a small increase in the price of Verge before the Monday deadline and a steep drop if the deadline passes with no news. If this mystery partnership does reveal itself on the date in question the sky could be the limit for Verge though.
