Steem VS Rocket Fuel Cryptos πŸš€

in #steemit β€’ 7 years ago

When you hear that a certain crypto made a 10x 50x 100x gain it is very tempting to want to move some Steemit funds out to the wild casino that is the crypto market. But let's not forget the pros of powering up and increasing our stake in Steem and Steemit as opposed to trying to catch that one crypto rocket that promises to take us to the moon- let me tell you why.

untitled.1508.jpg

Steem is a solid and very stable crypto, that is partly due to the fact that it is a proven technology that has been up and running for quite some time now. It is not one of those coins or technologies that says it will be the new "Ethereum Killer" or the new "EOS killer". It is not one of those coins that promises to be a fast a new disruptive technology with instant payments.

untitled.1343.png

When you send sbd or Steem it will arrive within seconds. When you post on Steemit you are using a disruptive technology. It's all that it promised and more.

We have to widen our minds and realize Steem is more than Steemit, there are many other things using the Steem blockchain:

  1. Dtube
  2. Zappl
  3. Steepshot
  4. Utopian.iu
  5. Dsound.audio

So while other cryptos talk about changing one aspect or two Steem is revolutionizing and tokenizing the entiry internet and all social media. Just wait for SMT and there will be an avalanche of new projects on the Steem blockchain.

So while it is tempting to take some sbd or Steem out and buy other cryptos. Please know that many are very speculative and here we have an absolute no brainer - Steem won't be great in the future - it is great already - people just have to catch up with that reality, and slowly they are.

untitled.1504.jpg

So before that happens and everybody rushes in and Steem becomes much harder to mine or buy - make sure to build up some more steem power.

untitled.1503.jpg

If we move 10 years ahead into the future and we would look back, I am sure so many people will ask themselves; "why didn't I invest more in Steem? It was such an obvious home run !" This is a very important moment and what we choose to do with our Steem and SBD right here right now will be important.

untitled.1501.jpg

Sure I have taken some SBD of the market recently with the spike in price, but I am back to hundred percent powering up now. It's always good to not put all the eggs in one basket, but having said that, among all my eggs this is my golden one and I think it has the ability to change all of our futures here - we just have continue believing- and of course to continue Steeming!

@masril resteemed this post and your creativity and content capitivated my interest. May I add that it is vitally important to diversify in cryptocurrrencies even though we agree that steem is the golden goose. I am following you @senseicat

I definitely agree - diversification is indeed important, but in the same time some think that Steem "will grow plentiful on the trees" forever. More and more people join to fight for the same reward pool and it is getting more and more expensive. So one should realize that it's a good time to power up at the moment.

I love your graphics my friend. They are so awesome! What program do you use?

i have used Rhino for 3d modeling and then i used keyshot for rendering. As i studied industrial design before we all learned Rhino as it is quite convenient to use. It seems however it is used more in asia than in the western world. I really enjoy working in this program. How about you? i remember you saying that you have done a lot of drawings by hand, did you also work with 3d programs, and are you working with it still today?

Hey man speaking of Rhino's I'm a Dinasour! I studied Industrial design in the late 1970's and worked in the field using a drafting board, inks, Pantone markers, tempra, pantone sheets and I NEVER touched a computer! All by hand. I even built all the mock ups and then made many of the jigs used in production.

I'd like to learn to draw and render now though and maybe Steemit will give me the motivation. It's hard to have the time as I own and run a company with 15 employees.

Maybe you can post some tutorials! I'll upvote them and use them! :)

It is kind of hard to find the time, but I tell you what. With Rhino and Keyshot it's possible to catch it up relatively quickly. Sometimes things are more complicated than they look - this is one of them . Hopefully I can make some kind of tutorial and share how it works I just have to figure out what program to use to record the tutorial because I definitely think a video is the best way to teach this kind of content

Thank you for this awesome article that gives a greater perspective!
I think, that in our fast paced times, everyone wants to get rich as fast as possible and starting from a small budgets FOMO can really hit you hard. Losing the long term perspective when you watch other coins mooning is the real problem here.
Also that many veterans here are thinking openly about moving their energy and funds to EOS (as the next big thing) makes it hard for newbies to stay on track with STEEM.
Especially because of this, articles like yours are so important!! Thank you!!

Thanks for that awesome reply ! Some cryptos can make you rich quick, but they can make you poor just as quick. If we look at probability I think Steem offers one of the best long term investment

Dan the man! Excellent post. Excellent artwork. These are the type of creative marketing logos we need on the internet. Congratulations on your promotion to Steemit's Creative Visual Marketing Director.

Thanks for being generous for providing the logos for community use without your lovely face watermarked on them.

Don't you think your wife is going to be asking why you have 631 unread text messages? You knew I'd bring that up, didn't you? Well, I fell for your trap.

Easy resteem for me here.

Haha thanks a lot ! Hopefully they will be of use to someone . Except for using my creative to come up with dirty jokes it's good to see it can be useful in other aspects

Wow, these graphics are stunning! I especially like the ones with the blue liquid, and the first one as well. It's very generous of you to give them to the community (post bookmarked).

Informative article with good advice too, I think. Already sent the link to some newcomers in crypto that I know.

I thought I was already following you, but apparently not - fixed that now. Found your post via @steemmatt's resteem (thanks!).

Excellent friend, very good publication, without a doubt Steemit is a solid, stable platform that is always growing and hand in hand with all the users that we find in this community to always keep it on the crest of the wave but with a lot of responsibility. Successes

Thanks man - yes we are all included in the progress of Steemit.

This is a good explanation and gives me confidence to stick in steem world :)

You are in the right place at the right time - that is a good time to be alive :)

Great awesome illustrations Dan!! Thanks for sharing your good designs that's really kind of you. Nice job on those they are really sharp ❀ Thank-you for sharing your advice. Peace, love & joy to you and yours!!

You are most welcome !

Wow I love the designs of the steem filling with water, thank you for your generosity in sharing these, and yes you are absolutely correct, I think the next bull run with steem is going to be massive. Everyone just has to catch up with the train , as you said!

Thanks for your awesome comment and glad you like the illustrations :)

Hi @dandesign86 , Happy Holidays! You are very right to what you are stating here. Steem is a magical technology that is just waiting for people to continue realizing about it, and when it goes up, I believe there is no coming back. I am already regreting of not buying more SP when it was at $1 or less a month ago. The reason was, that sometimes its dificult to time the market. But I will come and buy more SP once some altcoins I am waiting to popup do so, and I will bring back to SP.

Also Bitshares, will popup soon, and now its the time to buy more I believe.

Have you visited any of the 6 chapters I already posted about the 11 chapter full steemit guide I created for new users, new visitors on the platform, and minnows, to learn as much as possible about steemit and the steem blockchain, and thus help them make their way on the platform?

Regards, @gold84

Regards, @gold84

I think you are absolutely right about bitshares as well . Steem and Bitshares will probably both have a crazy ride ahead of them in 2018 as they are both extremely undervalued at the moment if compared with the ones ranked above them . I will make sure to pop by soon and check these posts . Thanks for stopping by and for your great comment as well πŸ‘

very good post friends.

Thank you !

friend please visit my blog.

I need to start exploring the other stuff using the STEEM blockchain. What do you guess the price of STEEM will do this year and in 10 years?

I think in the end of 2018 we can see 50 USD / Steem in 10 years ? That's hard haha . But I think well above a Thosaund USD

Fery good post @dandesig

Exellent design

I agree. Patience is difficult sometimes, but stack steem and power up and there is no way to regret it. The number of unique users to reddit was 1.5 billion. Steemit has about 500,000 a month. Long way to go!

Long way to go indeed - I think the speed will catch up quickly now

Around of applause for your Steemit designs today!

Thanks buddy ! :) I have built myself a small library with illustrations now - it's always good when I want to make a Steemit themed post

Great to hear your keeping yourself a small library of your illustrations. I always keep all my designs on my external hard drive. So sometimes when I dig deep into it I can see how far I have come in my design making from when I first started.
