There is no release date yet, but its coming soon. A feature to upload your videos straight into steemit. Simply just by having a video in your device will be able to upload it as simple as any image.
Ok youtube will always be a popular site due to channels earning money from advertising.And this feature wont have no effect on youtube.
On the other hand for people who do not have channels or cant be bothered to place video on youtube then get the link and then put it on steemit will save loads of time and hassle.
Like video bloggers you can shoot a video on your phone and then just click its on steemit, how cool is that?
Lets wait for the feature to be implemented and earn more from videos with no troubles posting them anywhere else.
This will be a great addition to the blockchain and will make it a even more visually rich community. Great news.

You can earn a whole lot more here than on Youtube through their partnership. This could be good for newcomers who don't have a Youtube channel.

Good news-- YouTube is getting ridiculous with their censorship. Still post on YT if you can, however, as it's a currently a good traffic source.
That would be great. Everything you need to share your interests all in one place. I can see Steemit becoming the one place I will share information and my thoughts.
