Hello Steemit World!
Baby update time!
My beautiful and amazing @prettykitten and I went in for the first ultrsound yesterday! Very exciting and scary all at the same time. On the one hand, we hopefully get to see the baby for the first time. On the other, you worry the doctor is going to tell you that there is some kind of problem. Thankfully there were no problems! The baby is as healthy as can be expected.
It was a fantastic experience!
It was both of our first time having an ultrasound (it is both of ours first baby). The doctor had fantastic bedside manners, very polite and respectful, and said he has been doing this kind of work since '93, so longer than @prettykitten has been alive!
Here is the wonderful momma waiting for the doctor to come back.
It was incredibly exciting, to say the least! I kept asking the doctor "Is that the baby?" Over and over. Probably got a little annoying. Finally, about sixty pictures later,
The doctor told me that this was the baby! Very exciting! Then he asked if we wanted to hear the heartbeat. I started crying more than once. In fact, I might have cried more than prettykitten did! I hugged the little baby bump so much!
Thank you for sharing this amazing journey with me! I am incredibly scared as well as nerve rackingly excited for this whole thing! I don't share this often, but I have had some bad experiences in the past with having kids. I'm not going to go into too many details in this post because this is a happy post, (one of my ex-girlfriends told me she was pregnant and getting an abortion against my wishes in the same sentence) I just wanted to give you all a bit of insight as to why this is so exciting to me, above and beyond the fact that I am going to be a Daddy! I may go into some of the details of my past in a different post some other time. But right now I am too happy to think about that stuff.

congrats, it's exciting! Our little one is 3 1/2 now, but still remember that excitement when you hear their little hearts pounding at what sounds like 400 beats per min :) Enjoy the journey ahead!
