I welcome some kind of change for inappropriate comments/Spamming but I asked lots of people about your post and they said;
"Hi, like your post, keep them coming" or something along like that/ short and not much contribution to the post.
Is Not spam.
I remember reading in your post something about; Author curation is taken by useless comments or something along that line.
Well, I recently found out that YOU want any comments of any kind/ Good or Bad within the first 24 hours of your post that is where the Author makes his rewards.
Everything after that goes to the voters.

For a open platform, I don't like flagging at all.
I think they should just have a block button option.
Don't like what I am posting? don't read it. Comment or Spam that does not go well with the Author; then Block them on that post.

Flagging comes across as censorship while Blocking provides remedy for inappropriate behavior.
