In the magical ocean of steemit, we live
Whales, dolphins and minnows as they’re called, interacted with each other on the steemit block-chain. This one unlike other block-chains was a bit special where they shared ideas and creativity in the form of blogs. These blogs were transparent and could be seen by everyone even outside of the ocean but in order to give support in the form of vote one had to enter this ocean. Voting basically rewarded them with steem power which was important for growth of an individual in the ocean. With the support of a whale (or many dolphins) a minnow could evolve to a dolphin.
Every minnow wanted to stand out, they wanted to be known, to be heard and started attracting whales to their blogs but it was not possible for whales to see everyone’s work as they were few in number. Some minnows understood and respected that, hence they worked hard on improving their blog, they saw it as a challenge and an opportunity to build a reputation with quality work; those who didn’t, suffocated and died in the ocean with their fossils buried deep in the block-chain.
Slowly, their efforts began yielding fruit, they were improving. Whales started noticing their work. They started supporting them with their votes which gradually promoted the minnows to dolphins. These new dolphins actively took part in diverse topics which whales had never seen before in this ocean of blogs. They encouraged new minnows to improve. Their story became an inspiration for minnows. Whales were the Gods and dolphins were the Angels curating, motivating and helping the minnows(newly born creatures). It wasn’t long before the ocean of steemit flourished with steem-ers who produced quality art, creative writing(stories and poetry), educational articles and awareness news to name a few.
Whales were happy, their dream had come true!
Interesting analogy regarding whales as gods, dolphins as angels and minnows as newly created creatures. I enjoyed reading this. :D
Thanks! TBH, it still sounds weird to me
