Venezuelan and Russian government officials met last week in Moscow right before petro "pre launch sale" or if you ask me, its the first time they made their meeting public.

People are questioning the number 700 million USD + Venezuela provided after the prelaunch, I believe in it 100%, not only Russia but people from all over the world invested in it.

Real question is how badly is russia involved in this crypto, we will never know!

These new cryptos are actually doing damage to USD so its really interesting how much "interest" russia is taking in this.

Ripple is always in the mainstream media news, they are pretty high on ripple.

I just don't understand, the-dont-talk-about-bitcoin as much as they talk about ripple.

Do you guys think will petro be able to take bitcoin's throne?

Venezuela does not have many "great relationships" with other governments around the world, so it may be hoping that Russia can help to bridge the gap between itself and other countries?? A Russian company called Aerotrading has already been linked with the petro cryptocurrency project, interesting isnt it?

Even many Venezuelan citizens are not fully sold on petro. Some believe its going to be good for them , while others believe it is yet another vehicle for government corruption in a country.

Here's an interesting fact for you guys USA government seized over 1 billion USD worth of cryptos in last few years

here's your daily meme

At "the beginning of time", crytocurrencies were also decentralized currencies. BTC as the grandaddy was created "take" the power back to the people. Now, we have Petro, fully centralized, 100% pre mined, cryptocurrency that is created, owned, and controlled by government. Fiat is paper based, Petro, digital. I wonder what is the different of it compared to fiat currency beside that.

it really depends how they will distribute it to the "real people" reason i say that right now only rich buisness people or companies or governemets like russian owns a piece of it
its going to be interesting once it will be actually made public

It could be the scenario, but didn't you mention Russia is in talks with different countries including India to introduce own crypto?

yeah but they need to get china on board first, also owning another country crypto gives them more power and i feel like they are doing this on purpose trying to damage USD

The BRICKS countries are eventually going to replace the U.S.D. with their own currency as the primary world currency. It's inevitable, it's just a matter of time. The Petro is just one of those parts of that process, and it's backed by oil reserves, just like the U.S.D.

Rest in peace USD
